Corporate Sponsorship Policies and Procedures
GENERAL POLICIES
From time to time a course presenter or creator who has a financial relationship with a company or product may also be interested in providing Corporate Sponsorship. In these instances, Corporate Sponsorship is allowed provided the sponsorship is in no way affiliated with or associated with the created course. In other words, if you have presented a course with us, your Corporation or entity of financial interest may not sponsor the course you created or presented. We adhere strictly to this policy to mitigate conflicts of interest.
GTC dba SLP Nerdcast endorses equal employment opportunity practices and accepts only Corporate Sponsorships that are not discriminatory on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, age, national origin, sexual orientation, or physical handicap.
The acceptability of Sponsorship will be based upon legal, social, professional, and ethical considerations.
All promotional materials, including language, images, banners, and logos must be in line with the professional policies of GTC dba SLP Nerdcast.
GTC dba SLP Nerdcast reserves the right to refuse, reject, or cancel any ad for any reason at any time without liability, even though previously acknowledged or accepted.
Acceptance of Corporate Sponsorship does not imply GTC dba SLP Nerdcast’s endorsement or guarantee of the product or service advertised. GTC dba SLP Nerdcast is not responsible for any claims made in any Sponsorship content. A disclaimer stating as such is a embedded into each GTC dba SLP Nerdcast course.
GTC dba SLP Nerdcast Directors review all Corporate Sponsorship applications.
Statements about and illustrations of all products, procedures, or services must meet professional standards. They must not be deceptive or misleading by either statement or omission, must not disparage others in the Sponsorship content, social media post, or on their website, and must not make unsupported claims.
Any claims made in any Corporate Sponsorship content must be supported by research data that substantiates those claims. Such data must be easily accessible through a website and / or made available upon request.
Any products or services mentioned in any Corporate Sponsorship content must be in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws, and they must meet applicable FDA regulations and FTC requirements. Adherence to legal and regulatory requirements is the Corporate Sponsor’s responsibility.
GTC dba SLP Nerdcast does not accept sponsorship for recruiters, job sites, or head hunting firms.
Given the nature of the clinical services offered at GTC, GTC dba SLP Nerdcast does not accept sponsorship for vendors, device manufacturers, corporations, or entities that sell products related augmentative alternative communication devices or materials.
The Corporate Sponsor will also indemnify and save harmless GTC dba SLP Nerdcast, as publisher, against all loss, liability, damage, and expense of any nature arising out of the copying, printing, or publishing of its Corporate Sponsorship content (including copy, signage, logos, etc.), including without limitation reasonable attorney’s fees resulting from claims or suits for libel, violation of rights or privacy, plagiarism, copyright, and trademark infringement.
Corporate Sponsors assume responsibility for all contents of Corporate Sponsorship printed or published, and each represents that it is fully authorized and/or licensed to publish the entire contents and subject matter contained in its Sponsorship spot including:
the names, portraits, and/or pictures of living persons
any copyrighted material
FINANCIAL POLICIES
SLP Nerdcast is a division of Grandbois Therapy and Consulting, LLC, a for-profit company. Corporate Sponsorships are not tax deductible.
Payment is due in full upon receipt of invoice. Corporate Sponsorships will not become public until the invoice is paid in full.
GTC dba SLP Nerdcast reserves the right to withhold further Corporate Sponsorship space from any Sponsor with a past-due account. A finance charge of 1.5% per month will be applied on all past-due balances.
TERMINOLOGY GUIDELINES AND SPECS
Speech-language pathologists should not be referred to as therapists, speech therapists, or speech pathologists.
Speech-language pathologist (pathology) should be written as such, NOT as speech/language pathologist or speech language pathologist without the hyphen.
To avoid repetition in ad copy, the term clinician may be used when referring to a speech-language pathologist or audiologist.
Avoid the terms teacher and teaching when referring to the positions or services of speech-language pathologists and audiologists.
Podcast episode pre-roll and post-roll messages must be limited to 200 characters
